This is a fun one, folks. Ninety Pounds of Ugly are a rootsy-country quartet (though for our purposes, we had 3 of ’em) who sing songs of booze, death and sex. The lyrics can be dark, but the band couldn’t be brighter. I sat with Lefty McRighty (guitar) and Patsy Clash (vocals) for a hilarious chat about how they started (slowly!), and what they are bringing to the world of roots music. Hell, Lefty even started bleeding at one point during our convo, so you know this is some serious stuff.

Standup Steve joined in on bass for three songs, and that’s when the debauchery really started. Enjoy this one, we sure did.
