Burlington, Vermont is a beautiful, small city (some would say town) in the middle of the Blue Mountains. It is home to Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream and boutique shops galore. Some would say it’s somewhat of a sleepy town, but the music of Sleeping In is anything but droopy. Fresh off the release of their debut EP, Sleepy, the young quartet are an emerging indie-rock band. They haven’t gone the jam-band route of Phish, probably the most famous music export from the state, but instead head in more of an alt-rock, shoegaze direction, best exemplified by “Sink In Yr Skin”.
You can hear the entire EP below. Also check out “Sink In Yr Skin” on the May 1st Edition of the Weekend Showcase, which features 21 additional songs from the indie world.
