Location: Ulverton, United Kingdom
Members: Pesky are seven young kids who are between 10 and 12.
For those who like: The Go! Team, The Polyphonic Spree
Our take: It’s hard to believe Pesky are pre-teens yet they sound like a group who have been playing throughout college. Their shoegaze-y, garage-pop is infectious, highlighted by the shimmering guitars and the youthful yet engaging vocals. There is both a maturity and innocence in their sound. It’s going to be fun to watch these kids grow and develop.
What’s next: “Keep Me” is the first single by Pesky, who have signed with Fierce Panda Records. Their debut EP, Smells Like Tween Spirit, will released in a couple of weeks.
