Ottawa Bluesfest is the biggest event in Ottawa for the music lovers of the city. It’s a 10-11 day festival that is a smorgasbord of music each and every day. There are some great acts to check out regardless of the genres of music you like. In fact, the more genres you like, the better you will be served because the festival purposely brings in a huge variety of acts. Since my own tastes touch on any genre, this festival is an especially appealing treat.
This year’s festival started with Skrillex’s Full Flex Express show. Although this isn’t music I am normally drawn to, as a festival pass holder I like to go to every night because you never know when you’ll discover new acts you like. I do know amongst many of my younger friends this was the day they were most excited with.
We decided to wait for the dust to settle before posting these photo essays. We’re hoping to help you re-live some of your favourite festival moments through our photos.
