Rising Canadian talent Lowell brought her combination of performance art and music to the House of TARG on Jan 29th. She performed with the confidence of a seasoned performer in front of a sold out crowd. We even managed to meet up with her before the show for a few photos of her enjoying The House of TARG’s other speciality – video games.
Her show was filled with tracks from her outstanding debut LP, We Loved Her Dearly, including the dazzling “Cloud 69” that opened the show and got the crowd in a tizzy; the gorgeous “Summertime”; the dreamy synth-pop number “The Bells”, which got the crowd bouncing; the stunning “Palm Trees”; the euphoric “88”; and the crowd pleasing “I Love You Money”.
Lowell with her right-hand man Matty D also shared a new track, “Bang Bang”, which reverberated with the heavy bass of Sleigh Bells but played at two or three speeds lower. It’s a great track that represents an exciting addition to Lowell’s infectious indie pop.
We Loved Her Dearly is available at the Arts & Crafts store, iTunes, Amazon, and eMusic.
