Face + Heel have been teasing us with a few great tracks that will be included on their upcoming debut album, Our Prince’s Quarry which will be released on April 15th.

“We Can Swim” explores one of the major themes of the album: the tragic story of the flooding of the Tryweryn Valley.to make a reservoir for Liverpool in the 1960s. ‘We Can Swim’ is a magical realism themed love song set in the doomed village “about two lovers; one who decides to stay, living underwater…and the other who decides to leave”.

The track has an upbeat electro-pop 80s vibe throughout but we now know the lyrical tone is more of a serious one. The duo of Luke Taylor and Sinead McMillan have yet to disappoint us and we look forward to hearing their upcoming album in full. You can pre-order Our Prince’s Quarry, here.

The track is the third single released from the new album which will be available May 6th. “Tipping Point” is a mix of psych rock infused with a folky-bluegrass vibe. They have pretty much inbred a multitude of genres but it totally works and makes for something a tad bit different than everything else that is currently out there today.

The dual vocals on “Tipping Point” work well and their travel into spacey-psych rock land about midway through the track surprisingly works.
