You’re never too old for adventure. Take Mr. Kaplan, a bumbling grandpa with eyesight and memory issues, who decides to play vigilante when a shady character enters his mundane life. The Uruguayan locals call him “The Nazi”, which is more than enough to rile Polish Jew Kaplan into detective mode. Septuagenarian movie gumshoes have usually been quick witted and cleverly deductive. Not Mr. Kaplan. He is an expert at fender benders in parking lots, cheats on his eye exams, and is at the “what do we do with grandpa” stage of life. Thus his quest to capture a seemingly ruthless enemy, is an odd mixed bag of slapstick, suspense and drama. Be prepared for almost anything.
