MAU's majestic single “Castle”

In the fall of 2014, Lisbon-based composer, songwriter, and musician Luis F. de Sousa – who goes by the moniker MAU – released his new album, Safari Entrepreneur. It was a combination of electronic, ambient, and rock that he called “dream wave”. It was melodic and hypnotic.

Last week, MAU released a new single that was a departure from his last album. “Castle” is vibrant, energetic, and anthemic. It’s a driving indie-rock single with a touch of dream wave, and it builds and builds to a euphoric ending. It’s a brilliant song that will get your heart racing. If this is MAU’s new song, we can’t wait to hear what’s next (not to say his last album was bad because it was quite good, just different).
